Memorial Day

As this busy holiday weekend comes to an end, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the reason we honor this important day. I am so incredibly grateful to have the ability to tuck my kids in every night and know they will be safe until morning. My heart breaks for the parents who do not enjoy that basic right. Thank you to all active members of the military, along with our local law enforcement, for allowing me this privilege.

As I countdown the days until I head to DC, I am becoming increasingly anxious about leaving my kids for 12 days. I cannot even imagine what it is like to leave for many months at a time. Thank you to all current and past members of our military who have given up precious time with their families to protect our country. Additionally, thank you to all the family members who have made so many sacrifices to support their service member.

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Memorial Day!
